It Started With Two Energy Drinks and a Counter-Strike Tournament 

Years ago, I was getting ready to play in a Counter-Strike tournament where making the playoffs meant getting to play on the live broadcast. At the time, that was a big deal—not many Counter-Strike tournaments had live broadcasts.

I wanted my reflexes to be as sharp as possible, so before our first match I did what seemed obvious at the time: I downed two energy drinks.

It backfired.

By the time the match started, my hands were so jittery I could barely aim. We lost our first round, and ultimately didn't make the playoffs.

I never forgot that experience.

It taught me something simple: more stimulation doesn't necessarily mean better performance.

Years later, that lesson became part of the inspiration behind 200IQ Labs—building products around focus, clarity, and mental energy rather than simply trying to make you feel as wired as possible.
